Welcome to Brian Hurren Music Academy

Thank you for choosing to enrol with us. We care a great deal about our students and want to make sure every student gets the most out of our classes. We have a few terms and conditions we would like you to be aware of before registering a student with us.

Terms & Conditions

  • Class fees are £53.50 per month (our Mini Music Academy fees are £34.85 per month). Our fees are made up of 44 weeks of tuition spread over 12 months. This saves us having to charge more on 5 week months and less on 3 week months etc. Administering that would raise our costs and our class fees. Fees work themselves out over the initial 2-3 months depending when you join.

  • Fees must be paid in advance via GoCardless. We are unable to accept cash, card payments or bank transfers as part of our fees.

  • Fees are non refundable.

  • We are closed for 8 weeks during the year. We will notify students of when we are closed but generally we close on the following:

    • 2 weeks @ Christmas

    • 1 Week @ February Break

    • 2 Weeks @ Easter

    • 2 Weeks @ the Beginning of July

    • 1 Week @ October Break

  • Missed Classes: We cannot refund fees for missed classes. If you think you are going to miss a class please let us know and we will try our best to offer you an alternative class. We cannot do this for last minute cancelations so please let us know as soon as you can. We sometimes run extra classes during the year and we are always conscious of attendance so will do our best to keep you informed of other ways of catching up.

  • Students must respect the instruments. We have gone the extra mile to ensure that we have the best equipment and we want the students to get the most out of it. It’s therefore imperative that students treat the instruments with respect at all times.

  • Leaving BHMA: We ask that you give us 1 months notice if you would like to cancel. Spaces are limited and we run waiting lists for any classes that are full. The notice system allows us to keep our classes small, schedule tutors, keep our fees low and not have joining fees, deposits etc.

Important: GoCardless

Our spaces are limited. After a trial, we would ask that you complete the GoCardless Mandate as soon as possible to confirm your space in the class. We are unable to hold spaces for customers that have not signed up for GoCardless.
